Help for Exchange Search
| Search on area code and exchange |
|
The exchange is the first three digits after the area code.
For instance, in the phone number (123) 456-7890,
the exchange is 456. You would enter 123-456 to search for
locations nearest this exchange. An exchange usually covers
a small geographical area, so it provides a more accurate
location than its area code.
|
| Acceptable formats |
|
The following formats are acceptable for area codes and exchanges:
- 123-456
- (123) 456
- 123/456
A full phone number using any of these formats,
such as (123) 456-7890,
is also acceptable, although the last four digits are ignored.
